This new addition will sit between Mercer Street, 8th Ave N, Republican, and Dexter Ave N, just to the west of their current buildings. It will add 560,000 square feet to their space. It will also set them back $516 million. This will be a lease from Vulcan who owns the land that these new buildings will sit on. Ground is sent to be broken in July 2011.

With the completion of Lake Union Park scheduled for this summer, MOHAI moving in, Amazon relocating, and now the addition of several more UW Medicine buildings, this should really spur a lot of new activity in South Lake Union. We anticipate more shops, restaurants and other services to move in to support the influx of people working, living, and just enjoying the area.
